Thank you Gibraltar 2019!

We’re coming to the end of a fantastic week in Gibraltar with the NatWest International Island Games. All of the Gibraltar Organising Committee have been incredibly helpful - we’ve had lots of meetings, and they have shared their learnings, tips and suggestions with us.

We’ve met all of the Member Islands and have forged many new relationships and friendships. The NatWest International Island Games really are the friendly games.

It’s been hard work, with long days, but we’ve also managed to see some fantastic sporting performances from all of the Islands. Guernsey really is in for a huge treat in two years time.

It is the closing ceremony this evening, and the IIGA flag and water container will be handed to Guernsey as the next hosts. It is a huge honour for the Island and the organising committee and their supporters will do all they can to make the 2021 Games a great success. We can’t achieve this without the support of our sponsors, and we would like to take this opportunity to thank them all.

So, we’ve got a busy couple of years ahead of us! We’ll post regular updates to let you all know how we’re getting on, so make sure you keep an eye on guernsey2021.gg and our social media sites #guernsey2021 #guernseyiga #gib2019 #islandgamesassoci

Thank you to the sponsors for Guernsey 2021
